Feelings
As I search for words to express what I want to convey I find it hard to erase the things that I just don't want to say
Maybe it's because I don't want others to know how I feel Or it could be that I can't accept that the feelings are real
When life has been such as it has with all it's memories You tend to want to share the good and not the miseries
There is one thing I'm glad to share with those who read There is a loving God who has carried me through in deed
Rest assure in your heart and mind and never give up When all goes wrong just remember He drank the cup
No one is worthy of grace because it is a gift of love I must forgive others and myself and give praise to God above.

Sermon: “Get Behind Me, Satan”
     Pastor Kim Wenzel
The last two weeks we learned about Darkness, Bribes, and War in Samson & Delilah.
Some Red Flags from Satan
1 Temptation (planting the seeds)
2 Bribes ( appealing to self)
3 Pawns ( people are used)

Matthew 4: 1 - 11(NIV)

Jesus Is Tested in the Wilderness

1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted[a] by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’[b]

Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’[c]
Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.[d]
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
10 Jesus said to him, Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.[e](Not Self)
11 Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.

Jesus Predicts His Death

21 From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, the chief priests and the teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life.
22 Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. “Never, Lord!” he said. “This shall never happen to you!”
23 Jesus turned and said to Peter, Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns.”

Today's Verse
 Deuteronomy 32:3-4
For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; ascribe greatness to our God! "The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and upright is he."

Please Pray For Jerusalem!!
               Psalm 122

1I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
2Our feet are standing
in your gates, Jerusalem.
3Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted together.
4That is where the tribes go up—
the tribes of the Lord
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
5There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May those who love you be secure.
7May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
8For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
9For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity

 Time
It's been a long time gone by between memories of such peace within my heart.
The spirit of peace has shadowed my path with understanding He will never part.
As Grace takes away any fear of any doubt and brings forth His mighty power.
The Devil trembles knowing the souls he lost to hell and his time grows shorter every hour.
Lift up your heart toward God and receive his Loving grace full of Glory
Look for the day of His coming with joy because eternity is the untold story.

Sermon:“Samson & Delilah Part 2"
 Pastor Kim Wenzel
We must remember that God uses all types of people to accomplish his objectives!
The story of Samson and Delilah reminds us just how important it is to guard our hearts and follow God's way!

Judges 16:1-31 (NIV)

Samson and Delilah

1 One day Samson went to Gaza, where he saw a prostitute. He went in to spend the night with her. The people of Gaza were told, “Samson is here!” So they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the city gate. They made no move during the night, saying, “At dawn we’ll kill him.”
But Samson lay there only until the middle of the night. Then he got up and took hold of the doors of the city gate, together with the two posts, and tore them loose, bar and all. He lifted them to his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron.
Some time later, he fell in love with a woman in the Valley of Sorek whose name was Delilah. The rulers of the Philistines went to her and said, “See if you can lure him into showing you the secret of his great strength and how we can overpower him so we may tie him up and subdue him. Each one of us will give you eleven hundred shekels[a] of silver.”
So Delilah said to Samson, “Tell me the secret of your great strength and how you can be tied up and subdued.”
Samson answered her, “If anyone ties me with seven fresh bowstrings that have not been dried, I’ll become as weak as any other man.”
Then the rulers of the Philistines brought her seven fresh bowstrings that had not been dried, and she tied him with them. With men hidden in the room, she called to him, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” But he snapped the bowstrings as easily as a piece of string snaps when it comes close to a flame. So the secret of his strength was not discovered.
10 Then Delilah said to Samson, “You have made a fool of me; you lied to me. Come now, tell me how you can be tied.”
11 He said, “If anyone ties me securely with new ropes that have never been used, I’ll become as weak as any other man.”
12 So Delilah took new ropes and tied him with them. Then, with men hidden in the room, she called to him, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” But he snapped the ropes off his arms as if they were threads.
13 Delilah then said to Samson, “All this time you have been making a fool of me and lying to me. Tell me how you can be tied.”
He replied, “If you weave the seven braids of my head into the fabric on the loom and tighten it with the pin, I’ll become as weak as any other man.” So while he was sleeping, Delilah took the seven braids of his head, wove them into the fabric 14 and[b] tightened it with the pin.
Again she called to him, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and pulled up the pin and the loom, with the fabric.
15 Then she said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when you won’t confide in me? This is the third time you have made a fool of me and haven’t told me the secret of your great strength.” 16 With such nagging she prodded him day after day until he was sick to death of it.
17 So he told her everything. “No razor has ever been used on my head,” he said, “because I have been a Nazirite dedicated to God from my mother’s womb. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man.”
18 When Delilah saw that he had told her everything, she sent word to the rulers of the Philistines, “Come back once more; he has told me everything.” So the rulers of the Philistines returned with the silver in their hands. 19 After putting him to sleep on her lap, she called for someone to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him.[c] And his strength left him.
20 Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!”
He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the Lord had left him.
21 Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding grain in the prison. 22 But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.

The Death of Samson

23 Now the rulers of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, saying, “Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands.”
24 When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying,
“Our god has delivered our enemy
    into our hands,
the one who laid waste our land
    and multiplied our slain.”
25 While they were in high spirits, they shouted, “Bring out Samson to entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he performed for them.
When they stood him among the pillars, 26 Samson said to the servant who held his hand, “Put me where I can feel the pillars that support the temple, so that I may lean against them.” 27 Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform. 28 Then Samson prayed to the Lord, “Sovereign Lord, remember me. Please, God, strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.” 29 Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other, 30 Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.
31 Then his brothers and his father’s whole family went down to get him. They brought him back and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led[d] Israel twenty years.

 Some Bible History
The Bible says that Samson fell in love with a woman named Delilah in the Valley of "Sorek" a Hebrew word which means "Vine." it was a valley which separated the Land of Judah from the Philistines. The valley of Sorek in which lay the residence of Delilah. It was possibly nearer Gaza than any other of the chief Philistine cities, The valley passes between the lofty hill of Sara`h (Zorah) to the North and `Ain Shems (Beth-shemesh) and Tibneh (Timnah) on the South.
In the 19th century, Nahal Sorek railway served as an important connection between the two major cities in the area, Jaffa and Jerusalem. Zorah (zō´rə) or Zoreah (zōrē´ə), in the Bible, ancient Palestine, the modern Zora, Israel, W of Jerusalem. Zorah was the home of Samson. The town was also called ZarZorah (zō´rə) or Zoreah (zōrē´ə), The town was also called Zareah, and its inhabitants were known as Zorathites or Zareathites. And its inhabitants were known as Zorathites or Zareathites.

Today's Verse

Psalm 34
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. I will glory in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together.

As time ticks away With the night at hand Gone by another day Like the falling sand.
With wonder on my mind If any went to waste I hope that I was kind And can keep up the pace.

Today's Verse
Matthew 24:42-44
Therefore, stay awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

 God is Good
I ask for guidance and strength Where to start with His will mine.
First I called my sweet mother To wish her a pretty day It was so nice to hear her voice Mostly when she began to pray.
When the first fiery dart of the devil himself was thrown The shield of faith prevailed be-cause Jesus was on the Throne.
All through the day I felt His Love and saw his handy work As he opened doors and shut the ones that would have hurt.
God is so good to me.

"I Wish I knew as a Young Christian"
 Pastor Kim Wenzel

1 Corinthians1:27

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

1. Don’t believe everything you hear. Sermons, gossip, etc

2. Don’t settle for the first teaching on scripture. You will learn more with time. Matthew 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

3. Don’t major in the minors! 1 Corinthians 15:2-4  2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance[a]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,   Keep first things first - keep your focus on Jesus and the Gospel.
4. We are all a work in progress - so mellow out! Proverb 19:11 A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.

Today's Verse
Matthew 5:14-16
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine be-fore others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven
