About the Church

Welcome to the new website for Faith Church of Grove, OK! My hope is that through this web site that God would be glorified. The church is God’s messenger on earth to spread the gospel of Christ. We invite you to come and worship with us each Sunday. For we are a community church where the whole gospel is preached in kindness and love. You matter to God and you matter to us.

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Daniel's Example

The Story of Daniel, Jesus, & Billy Graham

Infiltrate rather than isolate!

1 Timothy 2:1-4
1 Urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intersession and thanksgiving be made for all people.
2 For kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quit lives in all Godliness and Holiness
3 This is good and pleases God our Savior.
4 Who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the Truth.

A Call To Prayer

 1 Timothy 2:1-8 (NASB)
1  First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men,
2  for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity.
3  This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,
4  who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
5  For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,
6  who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time.
7  For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
8  Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension.

1 Peter 2:13-17
13 Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human authority, whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority.
14 Or to governors, who are sent by him to punishing those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.
15 For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.
16 Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover up for evil; live as God's slaves.
17 Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.

Honor Authority

 1 Peter 2:13-20 (NASB)
13  Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority,
14  or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right.
15  For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance of foolish men.
16  Act as free men, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond slaves of God.
17  Honor all people, love the brotherhood, fear God, honor the king.
18  Servants, be submissive to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and gentle, but also to those who are unreasonable.
19  For this finds favor, if for the sake of conscience toward God a person bears up under sorrows when suffering unjustly.
20  For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.
