This is a Pre-Election Sermon
Story of Jesus
Matthew 6:31-34
31 “So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What
will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’
32 These things
dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already
knows all your needs.
33 Seek the Kingdom of God[e] above all else,
and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
34 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own
worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.
The United States of America will end one day!
Kingdom of God will last Forever!
Matthew 6:25-34 (NASB)
The Cure for Anxiety
25 "For this reason I say to you, do not be
worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink;
nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than
food, and the body more than clothing?
26 "Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and
yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than
they?
27 "And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life?
28 "And why are you worried about clothing? Observe how the lilies of the field grow; they do
not toil nor do they spin,
29 yet I say to you that not even Solomon in
all his glory clothed himself like one of these.
30 "But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is
alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not
much more clothe you? You of little faith!
31 "Do not worry then, saying, 'What will we eat?' or 'What
will we drink?' or 'What will we wear for clothing?'
32 "For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your
heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33 "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and
all these things will be added to you.
34 "So do not worry about
tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its
own.
Philippians 3:1-3
1 Whatever happens, my dear brothers and sisters,[a] rejoice in
the Lord. I never get tired of telling you these things, and I do it
to safeguard your faith.
2 Watch out for those dogs, those people who do evil, those mutilators
who say you must be circumcised to be saved.
3 For we who worship by
the Spirit of God[b] are the ones who are truly circumcised. We rely
on what Christ Jesus has done for us. We put no confidence in human
effort
The Goal of Life
Philippians 3:1-3 (NASB)
1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To
write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard
for you.
2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the
false circumcision;
3 For we are the
true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ
Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh,
We need to be Value Voters

Matthew 5:13-16
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if
it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown
out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a
stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. ...
Matthew 5:13-20 (NASB)
13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the
salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no
longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by
men.
14 "You are the light of the world. A city set
on a hill cannot be hidden;
15 Nor does anyone light a lamp and put
it under a basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in
the house.
16 "Let your light shine before men
in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is
in heaven.
17 "Do not think that I came to abolish the
Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish but to fulfill.
18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass
away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is
accomplished.
19 "Whoever then annuls one of the
least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be
called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches
them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20 "For I say to you that unless your righteousness surpasses
that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will not enter the kingdom of
heaven.
Daniel 2:20-21
20 “Praise the name of God forever and ever,
for he has all wisdom and power.
21 He controls the course of world events;
he removes kings and sets up other kings.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the scholars.
Daniel 2:19-23 (NASB)
The Secret is Revealed to Daniel
19 Then the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then
Daniel blessed the God of heaven;
20 Daniel said, "Let the name of God be blessed
forever and ever, For wisdom and power belong to
Him.
21 "It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes kings; He gives wisdom to wise men And
knowledge to men of understanding.
22 "It is He who reveals the profound and hidden
things; He knows what is in the darkness, And the light dwells with Him.
23 "To You, O God of my
fathers, I give thanks and praise, For You have given me
wisdom and power; Even now You have made known to me
what we requested of You, For You have made known to
us the king's matter."
Final Thought: Jesus shows NO concern who the next Caesar in Rome would be!
